About us

Alexia:

Cocktail sipping, blue eyed bombshell with a penchant for lipgloss and a ferocious appetite for paranormal romance and urban fantasy books.

I am a 24 year old who is addicted to reading! I ‘switch-off’ while reading – the world can go by and I won’t even know about it. True story! I am a straight forward in your face kind of gal and most of the times I speak before thinking – not cool, but what can you do? *grins*

I work as a Personal Assistant / Secretary during the day. A great way for me to unwind after a long days work, is reading a good book with a glass of wine.

A little about Alexia’s Chronicles – my creation. :) This is purely a book blog, I’ll mostly be talking about books that I have read or am reading and my fav authors. My reviews are very basic and super honest, in the sense that I don’t write a page long review. For more information you can peruse the Review Policy page. I’m so happy that I stumbled across the book blogger community. I have made so many friends and met so many amazing authors. This community is the best thing since sliced cheese!!

Genres I read & review –
Paranormal Romance / Urban Fantasy (YA or Adult)
Erotica

I would like to introduce the newest member to Alexia’s Chronicles, Ritesh Kala - Associate Blogger. Ritesh and I met during a feature on his blog (which is no longer active); he hosted an author for an entire week. It just so happens that I knew this author as well, so we started chatting and did ‘Featured Author of the Week’ together. It was a whirl wind week, and let me tell you, Ritesh is a slave driver great.

Since that week, which was beginning of 2012, we haven’t stopped talking, we started comparing books, sharing our ideas and thoughts on books we’ve both read. We have extremely different personalities – which you’ll see in our reviews, but we work well together… so without further ado, here are a few deets on Ritesh.

Ritesh:

I am an avid reader and book blogger and live in Mumbai, India. I work in the financial consultancy industry when I’m not reading books. I have been focusing specifically on Indie authors and I will generally conduct interviews with the authors whose books I have read and reviewed. I am always looking to get my hands on the next book to review in the genres I like.

I started reading again a few months back, after a gap of about 10 years, where studies and work pressures had taken over my life. But, I am so glad I did. I now remember why I used to devour book after book when I was in school. I now know for sure, that I cannot stop reading, ever. The earliest books I remember loving were the Harry Potter series, and that series introduced me to the world of fantasy. I soon moved on, and Lord of the Rings changed my life forever. It made me fall in love with not only the characters in that book, but elves, dwarves, wizards and all the fantasy creatures in books. Fantasy has remained my favorite genre, and I've moved on to include Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and tend to enjoy most books in the speculative fiction genre.

As Alexia has already said, we met just a few months back, but have become the best of friends even though we've never actually met. We may be very different, but our love for books, the written and spoken word brings us together (yes, we talk a LOT). LOL

I am really glad to be here on Alexia's blog, and you'll be seeing me around quite often from now on!

Genres I read & review –
